Dr Sekhar Pillai has dual specialist qualifications in paediatric neurology and general paediatrics. He graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2000 and completed training in general paediatrics at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in 2009. In 2012, Dr Pillai completed paediatric neurology training at the Children's Hospital at Westmead, following fellowships in epilepsy and general neurology. He is currently completing a PhD on the causes and outcomes of acute childhood encephalitis through the University of Sydney.
His service includes both the management of children with general paediatric conditions as well as specialized paediatric neurology disorders. He provides an EEG service onsite as part of a first seizure or epilepsy evaluation.
He is the proud father of six children and understand the needs and challanges of families with sick children.
