Sankha Mitra trained as a Cancer Surgeon in India & then as an Oncologist at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London , UK . He worked as a Consultant Oncologist for 13 years in UK specializing in Breast Cancer, Lung Cancer & Skin Cancers. He was Principal Investigator for over 60 clinical trials , some of which were practice changing in Breast Cancer & Lung Cancer like HERA, AZURE, TANGO, FAST etc & published in major journals. He was National Cancer Reviewer for the UK DOH, Associate at the General Medical Council UK. He is passionate about Medical Education & is now leading the expansion of Cancer Services in Country SA. He also worked for 2 years at Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perth for 2 years. He is very keen to develop a dedicated Phase I Trials Unit at 480 Specialist Centre in partnership with ACC.
