Dr Sam Edwards graduated from Medicine at the University of Adelaide. He undertook Physician training at The Royal Adelaide Hospital, Advanced Training in Gastroenterology at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, followed by a fellowship at The Royal Free Hospital in London, UK, with a focus on the clinical management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease. He qualified as a gastroenterologist and Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2006, since which he has been working as a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Flinders Medical Centre an in private practice. His special interests are management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis), Endoscopy, Colonoscopy and small bowel capsule endoscopy (PillCam). He is involved with medical student and post-graduate teaching and is on the drug advisory committee at Flinders Medical Centre.
