Dr Rummana Afreen was born in Bangladesh. She obtained her residency at Westmead Hospital before starting her career pathway in rehabilitation medicine.
Rummana has a research background in brain injury patients, bringing new knowledge and experience to the medical arena. She volunteers considerable time in developing countries to provide education and support around low-cost rehabilitation.
During her four-year training in rehabilitation medicine, Rummana gained experience in a wide variety of fields including musculoskeletal rehabilitation, geriatric rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, amputee rehabilitation and traumatic brain injury.
