Parada PhD(Psych) is an experienced psychologist with special interests in assisting children, adolescents and young adults. An approachable and dedicated professional, he has experience in assisting young people with difficulties such as anxiety, depression, aggression management, behavioural challenges, bereavement and bullying. Dr Parada is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), the Australian Association for Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy (AACBT) and the International Early Psychosis Association (IEPA). Dr Parada has held various academic appointments in Australian universities. He is currently a Lecturer in Adolescent Development, Wellbeing and Behaviour at the University of Western Sydney. He has also held appointments at the University of Notre Dame, Australia as a Lecturer in Counselling where he lectured in Counselling Children and Adolescents; Bereavement and Loss and on Counselling Theory. Dr Parada is an invited reviewer for major scientific journals in child and adolescent mental health and educational psychology. He has published book chapters and scientific papers and has presented at international and national scientific conferences in the areas of psychometrics, parenting skills training, population based interventions, bullying and child and adolescent mental health. His research has also been featured in Teacher Magazine, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Telegraph, The Western Australian, on Channel 7, SBS television and ABC and commercial radio.
