Dr Peng Choong (Cardiologist)

Dr Peng Choong graduated from the University of New South Wales Medical School in 2002. Whilst undertaking physicians training at Royal North Shore Hospital, she completed a Master of Medicine in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Sydney. In 2008, she began Specialist training in Cardiology followed by further training in Advanced Echocardiography at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. In 2011, she undertook a clinical research fellowship in Cardiac Imaging at the Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals and King’s College, London, UK, publishing in the field of Cardiac MRI. She regularly attends cardiac meetings and has presented her research both nationally and internationally.

Dr. Choong’s clinical interests include adult general and preventative cardiology and echocardiography. She regularly performs transthoracic and stress echocardiography as well as transoesophageal echocardiography. She enjoys being involved in registrar training. Dr. Choong regularly sees patients in Mosman.

Dr. Choong is a Member of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand.
