Dr Phan graduated from University of Sydney in 1996 (MBBS) under scholarship with the Australian Regular Army. He completed his junior residency years at Nepean. Blacktown and Tamworth Hospital. He was then posted with the Army to Darwin where he served as Regimental Medical Officer for the Army. He also worked in the Accidents and Emergency at Darwin Base Hospital with secondments to Katherine Hospital. Dr Phan completed his military career in 2003 with his last posting at 1st Health Services Support Battalion after working as Senior Medical Officer in Kapooka Medical Centre. Dr Phan completed his Fellowship to the Royal Australian College of General Practice (FRACGP) in 2002. Dr Phan has experience with working in remote and isolated regions around Australia. He has also worked in remote aboriginal settlements in outback Northern Territory and North Western, Western Australia. Dr Phan has completed futher post graduate training in Tropical Medicine, Trauma Medicine, Underwater Medicine and Aviation Medicine. DR Phan has been in Private Practice since leaving the Army and have worked in varies area around Sydney including the outer metropolitan.
