Michael Jonas graduated from The University of Sydney in 1980, Bachelor of Dental Science after completing a Bachelor of Science and Diploma of Education from Newcastle University. Dr Jonas has served with the Australian Dental Association, NSW branch and has been elected to their Council, serving on the Executive Committee and their Board; as well as the Dental Practice Committee and the Constitution and Ethics Committee. He also chaired the Board of the Centre for Professional Development, the continuing education arm of the Australian Dental Association (NSW Branch), and is a Divisional Leader for the North West Dental Regional Meetings. At a national level, Dr Jonas has been a member of the Rural Oral health Advisory Panel, a committee tasked with advising the National body of the Australian Dental Association on dental issues related to people living in rural and remote regions of Australia. Dr Jonas is a member of the Australian Society of Endodontology and the ITI (international Team for Implantology). His professional interests cover the whole range of dental disciplines. For recreation, Michael is a keen pilot and motor cycle rider.
