Associate Professor Mark Bowman is passionate about helping people have children, not just the science, but also the interactions that happen along the way. One on one with patients and to a wider Australian audience, Mark is truly enthusiastic about making sure people can access clear and plain language advice about infertility and its treatment.

With more than 20 years experience in helping women and couples achieve their dream of pregnancy, Mark is one of Australia's leading Fertility Specialists.

Medical Director of Genea, Mark is also a Visiting Medical Officer at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney and Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the University of Sydney.

Mark commenced specialty obstetrics and gynaecology training in 1987 at Westmead Hospital in Sydney, after which he obtained his PhD for research into pelvic adhesions working between the Universities of Sydney and Sheffield (UK). He went on to achieve the specialist Certificate in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI) from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) in 1993.

Mark maintains a busy private practice as well as regularly teaching medical and postgraduate students and presenting papers at national and international conferences. He is principal author of many peer-reviewed medical journal publications and his current research interests focus on the assessment of assisted conception outcomes.
