Graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1997. He initially worked at Princess Alexandra Hospital for 3 years before spending 2 years as an orthopaedic registrar at the QEII/ Logan & Gold Coast Hospitals. He continued to work in emergency medicine before completing his FRACGP in 2007. Since then he has worked in both General practice & also worked throughout rural Australia in emergency departments as well as a general practice.
