Dr Lili Yuen is an Endocrinologist and Lecturer in Diabetes with clinical and research interests in general endocrinology, diabetes, gestational diabetes, diabetic foot disease, obesity and metabolic health conditions. Dr Yuen obtained her medical degree at Sydney University, and completed her prevocational and basic physician training at various hospitals across New South Wales including Liverpool, Royal North Shore, Fairfield, Gosford, Lismore and Hospitals. She then completed her advanced training in Endocrinology at Liverpool, Nepean and Camden Hospitals. She has diverse experience in managing a variety of diabetes and endocrinology conditions. She is currently undertaking a PhD at Western Sydney University in understanding the ethnic differences in gestational diabetes. She is also currently working as a Lecturer in Medicine at Western Sydney University, and is actively involved in improving and delivering medical education to undergraduate students. Dr Yuen has been conferred a NSW Health PhD Scholarship, and was previously awarded as the Junior Medical Officer of the Year at Liverpool Hospital. Prior to medicine, Dr Yuen obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of New South Wales and completed a Graduate Diploma in Chartered Accounting while working in chartered accounting firms for 6 years. Her interests outside of medicine include cooking, spending time with her family and improving her grasp of Cantonese.
