Dr Leah Xu completed her medical degree at University of Melbourne in 1997. Since then she has completed her specialist obstetrics and gynaecology training, and was awarded the Gold Medal for her performance in the Australian and New Zealand Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Specialist Examination. Leah subsequently undertook a fellowship in Laparoscopic Surgery at the Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne.
In addition to her private practice where she is a general obstetrician and gynaecologist with a special interest in laparoscopic surgery, she is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at the Royal Women's Hospital. At this tertiary teaching hospital, Leah enjoys participating in the training and mentoring of young doctors and medical students, and keeping up-to-date with the latest advances in obstetrics and gynaecology.
