Having grown up in the Illawarra, Dr Piatek graduated from the University of Wollongong as part of their inaugural cohort in 2010. Prior to this she completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science and Rehabilitation with Honours. She is currently completing her Diploma in Child Health through The Children’s Hospital at Westmead. She completed her postgraduate training at Wollongong Hospital with rotations in emergency medicine, geriatrics, general medicine, paediatrics and general surgery before beginning general practice training in 2013. As a resident medical officer she was involved in teaching medical students for their hospital rotations.
In her spare time, Dr Piatek enjoys cooking, playing soccer, swimming, basketball, touch and the odd triathlon.
Dr Piatek has temporarily left IFMC to work in Darwin. We look forward to her return in the near future.
