Dr Laurel is in private practice on the Gold Coast. She is a member of the Clinical, Forensic and Health Colleges of the APS and enjoys the challenges of working in such a diverse range of areas. While primarily in private practice, she has spent part of her career in universities in teaching and supervision roles. She is currently an Adjunct Teaching Fellow at Bond University. She brings a wide range of up to date knowledge and experience to her work and offers evidence-based treatment of most psychological problems and for the prevention and management of illness, for adults, couples, families, children and adolescents. Her forensic psychological work includes doing assessments, writing reports, and appearing as an expert witness in various courts and tribunals. She is the co-author of 11 self-help books, best-sellers in Australia and overseas. She often contributes to professional development activities for psychologists and other health professionals and training for other groups.
