Laura completed her Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Queensland. She gained experience in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of clinical presentations in two hospital settings in Brisbane before moving into private practice on the Sunshine Coast. Laura enjoys assisting individuals with anxiety and mood difficulties as well as those experiencing grief and bereavement or adjustment issues relating to chronic conditions. Laura is especially passionate about working with children and young people. She supports children and teens with mood related difficulties such as anxiety, depression, social anxiety and panic disorder as well as relational problems such as bullying, peer relationships, self-esteem issues, parenting and attachment. Laura works closely with Dr Johann Eloff and is dedicated to providing evidence-based treatments to children presenting with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and behaviour problems. Comprehensive learning and IQ assessments can also be arranged with Laura. As a psychologist, Laura enjoys working collaboratively with clients to develop a shared understanding of the presenting difficulties and tailoring interventions to suit each individual’s goals, circumstance and strengths.
