Associate dentist, Dr Komal Shah, was welcomed to the Maven Dental South Coast (formerly South Coast Dental Care) practice in January 2017. Dr Shah graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2016, holding a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and Bachelor of Science in Dentistry (First Class Honours).
Throughout the course of her studies, Dr Shah has gained valuable experience through a number of clinical placements - which saw her practicing general dental treatments at the Adelaide Dental Hospital, Oral Health Services Tasmania (Devonport) and at the South Australian Dental Service Clinic in Port Lincoln. She has also volunteered with the Cambodia World Family in Phnom Penh, providing treatment to disadvantaged children at the local dental clinic.
In her role as a dentist, Dr Shah finds it extremely rewarding to be in a position where she is able to help people with their dental needs, whether they're in pain or wanting to achieve a better smile. Working on the South Coast of New South Wales, she also enjoys meeting all the different personalities and people within the local area.
Outside of work, Dr Shah regularly attends the gym, however much prefers spending her time cooking (especially Thai food) and enjoying quality TV.
