Dr Khai Mohamed-Noor is one of the founding members of Women’s Obstetric and Gynaecology Specialists. As a child growing up in Malaysia, she often accompanied her mother to help friends and extended family with their newborn babies. Her grandmother was a midwife in a maternity hospital in Kuala Lumpur thus reflecting the choice of her profession.
Graduated from Monash University, Dr Mohamed-Noor completed most of her specialist training at The Royal Women’s Hospital. Apart from private practice, she is also a Consultant Gynaecologist at the Women’s and actively involved in training and examining medical students and resident doctors. Her interests in gynaecology includes colposcopy , laparoscopy and prolapse surgery.
Outside of work, Dr Mohamed-Noor is a single parent to her 16 year old son and they both enjoy travelling within Australia and overseas. They share a passion for puzzles, Lego, music and AFL. She is a member of the St Kilda football club and hopes to see them win another premiership in her lifetime. (wishful thinking)
Dr Mohamed-Noor really enjoys being an Obstetrician despite some sleepless nights. Being in a group practice allows her to have a balanced work and family life.
