I am based at Prince of Wales Private Hospital and Royal Hospital for Women, with over 35 years experience as a paediatrician/neonatologist. I was Director of Newborn Care at Sydney’s Royal Hospital for Women for over 20 years. As my engagement with high-level Intensive Care diminished so I was able to spend more time with patients expanding my age group into the 2 yr olds. I strongly believe that by enhancing parental attachment by helping parents relax and enjoy their baby, so there is significant improvement of babies’ emotional development.
I am particularly interested in the treatment of ‘colic’ and the unsettled baby, sleep and feeding issues inc. solids, and growth and development.
I have written a number of books on the subject, “The New Baby Book“, “Babies From Top to Bottom”, “Baby on Board” and my latest book “Your Cherished Baby” was published in 2014. My home is at Federal, near Bangalow. I commute in from Sydney most weekends (when not on-call).
