Dr Geoff Thorne is the principal dentist at Thorne Dental and is committed to servicing the dental needs of the Armidale and surrounding communities. Originally graduating from the University of Queensland in 1983 (awarded Queensland Health scholarship) Dr Thorne spent the earlier years of his career working across North Queensland and Tasmania. After 10 years of refining his clinical skills and knowledge, he and his family moved to Armidale where he has since established Thorne Dental.
Although passionate about all aspects of dentistry, Dr Thorne has special clinical interests in treating sleep apnoea and the role of interceptive (phased) orthodontic/orthopaedics in developing a beautiful, functional smile. Also interested in furthering his skills in comprehensive restorative work and implant dentistry, he is continually undertaking further training. Dr Thorne takes great pride in his professional development and is always seeking out new opportunities to improve his skills and knowledge.
