Dr Fang-Wei Chen enjoys seeing patients through all life stages, from paediatrics to geriatrics. Her specialty is paediatrics, but she also has interests in mental health, women’s health, sexual health and lifestyle medicine. As a general practitioner, she walks with her patients through their individual journeys, helping to guide them to achieve their goals.
Dr Chen grew up in Brisbane and completed her Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPhm) in 2007 and her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 2012, both at the University of Queensland. She completed her Diploma of Child Health in 2016 at the University of Sydney and will receive her Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in early 2019.
Dr Chen’s medical roles have been broad, allowing her to build the depth and breadth of experience required by a general practitioner. She has worked at the Mater Hospital, Nambour Hospital, as well as at Medical Practices in Brisbane. Now as part of the Sinnamon Park Medical Centre team, she welcomes patients with her calm and friendly manner as she supports them in effectively managing their health and wellbeing.
Dr Chen lives in Brisbane with her family and enjoys music, travelling and gelato by the beach. She is currently dabbling in experimental cooking and trying to keep her herb garden alive.
