Maven Dental Caloundra welcomed Dr Luke Puente De La Vega to the Sunshine Coast practice in February 2017. Dr Puente De La Vega graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2014 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. During his studies he undertook placement with the Royal Flying Doctor Service in New South Wales. Following his graduation he completed a foundation year with NHS England before moving to the Sunshine Coast. Prior to joining Maven Dental Caloundra, Dr Puente De La Vega also spent time working for Queensland Health and various private practices.
Although experienced across all areas of general dentistry, Dr Puente De La Vega has special interests in the areas of oral surgery and restorative dentistry. Ensuring he continues to provide his patients the best possible care, he regularly attends furthered education courses to continue his lifelong professional development. He hopes to gain further training in sedation and orthodontics in the near future.
Dr Puente De La Vega is passionate about excellent oral health and strives to provide his patients the highest level of care and treatment. He boasts a caring and gentle manner, ensuring patient comfort is key during each and every appointment. Besides fostering positive dental experiences, Dr Puente De La Vega enjoys being part of a wonderful, dedicated team of dental professionals who share the same passion for dentistry.
Outside of work, Dr Puente De La Vega enjoys keeping active through a range of sports including, soccer, badminton, skiing, gym, hiking and swimming. He also has a love for cooking, movies, board/card games, trivia and travelling.
