Doris has worked exclusively in skin cancer medicine since 2003, having originally trained as a general practitioner. She did her medical training at St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical College in London, UK in 1986 and worked in emergency medicine, general medicine, paediatrics, sexual health and other areas. She also spent nearly a year in a rural hospital in South Africa as a general medical officer performing surgery as well as treating medical emergencies, trauma, burns, infections and general medical in-patients.

She gained her FRACGP in 2006 and worked as a GP in Townsville, Sydney and London. Since 2003 she has worked only in skin cancer medicine in Sydney, Tasmania and now Brisbane. In Tasmania she also treated general dermatology patients.

She has the Diploma of the Australasian College of Skin Cancer Medicine and the Diploma of Dermatology (Aus). She is passionate about skin cancer medicine and enjoys this field very much. She is experienced in the use of punch biopsy, skin surgery, cryotherapy, curettage, photodynamic therapy and also the use of topical medications such as Aldara, Efudix, Picato, Solaraze. She has a holistic approach to patient care and a friendly caring manner.
