Dr Donald Angstetra commenced his private practice at the Women’s Health Centre at Gold Coast Private Hospital. He graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery.
He completed his general obstetrics and gynaecology training through John Hunter Hospital training network in Newcastle before undergoing two and a half years of advanced gynaecological endoscopic training at Sydney South West Area Health Service. In 2011, Dr Angstetra trained at Liverpool hospital, Sydney as a pelvic surgical fellow, mastering the advanced surgical treatment of endometriosis and complex pelvic surgery.
Dr Angstetra is a senior consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist specialist at Gold Coast University and Robina Hospitals. He has recently been appointed as a conjoint Associate Professor at Bond University. He has a strong interest in endometriosis and is involved in research in this area.
He has a keen interest in developing and applying minimally invasive surgery for all benign diseases of the female.

He has published articles in peer reviewed journals and presented multiple papers at local, national and international meetings and is fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, Malay and Chinese Hokkien.
