David is originally from Queensland and graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Queensland in 1984. He worked for several years in large group dental practices in Toowoomba and Hobart before taking up the position of Regional Dental Officer in Katherine in the Northern Territory. This involved travelling widely across the region providing dental care to the residents of both Katherine and the outlying communities and outstations. In 1990, David and his wife, Georgina, moved to Canberra, with David returning to private practice in Woden. In 1994 David became a principal dentist at Wanniassa Dental Surgery.
David is experienced in all areas of dental treatment and has a special interest in endodontic and cosmetic restorations. While David has over thirty years of dental experience, the primary focus always remains to provide the best possible care for each and every patient and ensuring their comfort at all times. After many years at WDS, David has built up many long standing professional relationships and friendships with families and individual patients and especially values this aspect of his working life.
Outside of work, David and Georgina have three children and enjoy bushwalking, running and reading. David plays soccer in the Canberra Masters competition and has an interest in economics – completing his PhD in 2000.
