Dr David Hilford specialises in Surgery and Diseases of the Retina, Vitreaour and Macula.
After a career as a secondary school science/mathematics teacher, Dr David Hilford completed his medical degrees at the University of Queensland in 1997, and was awarded the Lilian Cooper Memorial Prize (Dux of the Course) and The University Medal.
Following his residency (which included civilian medical work with the Australian Defence Force) he completed Ophthalmology training in Brisbane. He spent two further years undertaking Retinal Fellowships in Auckland, New Zealand, and at the prestigious John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, United Kingdom.
Dr Hilford has given presentations at state, national and international ophthalmology conferences, and has published articles in international peer-reviewed journals.
In addition to his practice at Northside Eye Specialists, Dr Hilford currently practices in Brisbane at Wickham Terrace, Strathpine and Annerley, and consults in Toowoomba.
David is able to see patients at various locations across South-East Queensland shoud you not be able to make it to the Chermside clinic.
