Dr Petsoglou completed his medical degree in 1995 at the University of Sydney and received the University Medal. He completed his ophthalmic training at the Sydney Eye Hospital gaining his Fellowship in Ophthalmology in 2003. He has just returned to our practice after a 4 year sabbatical working at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. There he completed a Corneal and External Disease fellowship, performed over 3000 eye operations and undertook research in corneal disease, including being a lead investigator of a trial of Avastin on corneal blood vessels.

Dr Petsoglou will take up the posts of Senior Lecturer in the Discipline of Clinical Ophthalmology for the University of Sydney, Clinical Associate of the Sydney Eye Hospital and Deputy Director of the Lions NSW Eye Bank in 2012. His current research interests are in corneal blood vessel treatments and eye bank research.

Dr Petsoglou is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with expertise in the treatment of corneal and external eye disease conditions in adults and children. He performs corneal, cataract, refractive laser and eyelid surgeries. He is CASA accredited and Medicare Botulinum toxin certified.
