General dentist, Dr Ciaran Charalambou, was welcomed to the Maven Dental Robina team in late 2017. Originally from the UK, Dr Charalambou completed his Bachelor of Dental Science in Manchester in 2010.
Having completed his qualifications, Dr Charalambou began his career working in the high demand area of East London. A year later he became the Senior House Officer at Kings College Hospital London, where he worked for a year in oral surgery, restorative and paediatric dentistry. Following this, he practised in Notting Hill as a general dentist for four years.
After gaining valuable experience Dr Charalambou made the move to Australia, where for the first two years he worked as a dentist in Chermside, North Brisbane. He has since moved to the beautiful Gold Coast where he has joined the friendly and caring Maven Dental Robina practice.
Dr Charalambou, although interested in all aspects of general dentistry, holds particular interests in restorative work (crowns, onlays), oral surgery and paediatric dentistry. Within the practice, he also thoroughly enjoys interacting with his patients and seeing the kids grow up over the years.
Keeping up to date with his professional development, Dr Charalambou regularly attends furthered education courses in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. He additionally is a member of the Australian Dental Association.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Charalambou enjoys spending his time practising Brazilian Ju-Jitsu, surfing and playing board games.
