Dr Ben Grafton completed his Master of Psychology (Clinical) in 2010, and his Doctor of Philosophy in 2014, both at the University of Western Australia. He has worked with clients of all ages, and has experience helping individuals to better manage and overcome difficulties with anxiety (e.g. generalised anxiety, social anxiety, post-traumatic stress, compulsions, phobias), depression, consumption use (e.g. alcohol, drugs, food), stress, low self-esteem, and interpersonal relationships.

In addition to working in private practice, Ben holds a research position at the Centre for Advancement of Research on Emotion, School of Psychology, University of Western Australia. The focus of his research is to enhance understanding of the ways in which automatic and unconscious biases in the processing of emotional information contribute to anxiety and depression, and to harness this knowledge to develop new treatments to help alleviate such emotional difficulties. His research has been published extensively in international journals, and he has authored multiple book chapters.

Ben is a committee member of the Australian Association for Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (WA). He is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, and the Psychology Board of Australia. Ben is a registered Medicare provider.
