Dr Keren has recently returned from four years in Canada working in a world renowned cardiovascular centre, specialising in cardiac device implantation and arrhythmia management. In addition to his appointment as consultant cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist at Perth Cardiovascular Institute, Dr Keren holds a public appointment at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. His subspecialty includes the advanced management of atrial fibrillation and all other cardiac arrhythmias as well as implantation of pacemakers, defibrillators and cardiac resynchronisation devices for heart failure management.
Dr Keren has a particular interest in advanced management of defibrillator shocks and ablation treatment for ventricular arrhythmias.
Dr Keren has been involved in national and international clinical research, having published a number of clinical abstracts and papers, as well as participating as primary investigator on a number of international multi centre trials.
He has been an invited speaker and faculty member at a number of national and International meetings and electrophysiology fellowship courses. He has a long history of dedicated teaching and education commitments both in Australia and abroad, and held and academic appointment as senior lecturer and Assistant Professor of Medicine with the University of Ottawa, Canada.
Dr Keren has previously been the Vice President of the Australian Humanitarian Foundation.
He currently consults from our Nedlands site.
