Dr Anpalagan has obtained his undergraduate training in Srilanka and then moved to Australia. He had worked at The Royal Melbourne and at The Austin hospitals in Melbourne as a resident medical officer.
Dr Anpalagan was selected for the postgraduate training through The Australian and New Zealand college of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG). He had most of this training at Westmead Hospital. Dr Anpalagan has also obtained a fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic surgery before he becomes the clinical superintendent in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Westmead Hospital towards the end of his training.
Dr Anpalagan is now a Visiting Medical Officer at Westmead Public, Westmead Private and The Norwest Private hospitals. In these hospitals he takes care of pregnancy and delivery, Gynaecological management and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery.
He is also involved in teaching medical students at University of Sydney and a mentor and training supervisor for the RANZCOG trainees. Dr Anpalagan has a strong interest in research and has published at The Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynaecology and at The Australian and New Zealand Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
