Dr Tony Tampiyappa hails from the UK originally, before emigrating to Australia and settling on the Sunshine Coast many years ago. For the last decade, he has been the Clinical Director of the public Geriatrics, Neurology, Rehabilitation and Stroke Departments, overseeing the transition to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. Dr Tampiyappa also runs a public specialist clinic for movement disorders (such as Parkinsons disease) through Maleny hospital which has received National and International recognition for the standard of care provided.
Dr Tampiyappa shares Dr Winkel’s passion for improving healthcare access on the Sunshine Coast, and co-founded Beach Brain in 2019 to provide Coast residents with a comprehensive new option of care to complement the public system.
