Dr Andrew Whitworth commenced working at Westside Medical Centre in 2013 after relocating with his family to Port Macquarie from Brisbane. With a young family of his own, Andrew enjoys all aspects of family medicine, including children’s health, skin cancer and chronic disease management, and mental health. He shares the practice passion for education as one of the supervisors for GP registrars, as well as being a Conjoint Lecturer for the UNSW Rural Clinical School and a medical educator at the Army School of Health.

With an interest in acute and rehabilitation medicine, as well as training in occupational medicine, Andrew is happy to see anyone with work-related injury or illness, both acute and long-standing, including veterans. Having spent several years conducting return-to-work programs for the Australian Defence Force, Andrew is keen to work with people injured at work to enable their return to a productive and active life in an appropriate manner. He is also a qualified Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME) for CASA.
