I was born and raised until I was 5 years old in Hobart before my Mother made the arguably terrible (!) decision of leaving Australia and moving to near Newcastle upon Tyne in England, where I grew up and was educated, eventually obtaining my Dentistry degree from the University of Leeds in Yorkshire. Thankfully before long, and after working in the UK for a couple of years, I saw sense and moved back to sunny Australia some 20 years later with my wife. Initially, I worked on the Sunshine Coast in both hospital and private practice, but have now found the stunning mid-north coast of NSW where we are hoping to settle and stay. Dentistry for me is about making people feel as comfortable as possible in an environment which for many is the complete opposite, and I pride myself on being able to develop trusting and long-lasting patient relationships, giving them the confidence to return knowing they'll be well looked after, and with the odd laugh and joke thrown in! OutsideofDentistry I have three main passions - football (the real form which is played entirely with your feet!), scuba diving, and traveling. You might find me teaching diving at the world famous Fish Rock in South West Rocks where I work part-time, or playing football on the soccer (yes I said it) field. Failing that I could be supporting my beloved Newcastle United which undoubtedly will end in tears, or exploring a new place in Australia or overseas with my wife Sonia.
