Dr. Anchita Karmakar is a local graduate from Bond University and holds a dual degree in Bachelor of Biomedical Science and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. She was born and raised in Japan with Indian parents who were pioneers of Yoga. After completing her full training as a Yoga and Meditation Instructor in Japan, she migrated to Australia to pursue her ambition of becoming the bridge between western and eastern medicine. She is a native Japanese, Bengali, and Hindi speaker with a sound knowledge of cultural inference and the needs of various international and domestic patients. In recent years, Anchita has had some personal losses, which have left irreparable emotional pain and triggered her interest and intuition in treating people with Chronic Pain. She has been working closely with various expertise in the field of pain management and is now pursing higher qualifications in this field. Her down to earth, easy going personality and her vast life experiences have made her extremely approachable and familiar to many patients on the Gold Coast, where she has been practicing for the past five years as a Medical Practitioner. Dr Karmakar can provide a General Health Screening for corporates and individuals and special consults for pain management. Dr. Karmakar has recently moved her practice to Brisbane, Spring Hill.
