Dr Alice Mood (Dentist)
Dr Alice Mood is the friendly, caring and compassionate lead dentist at Maven Dental South Coast, formerly South Coast Dental Care. Having completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2009 at Adelaide University, Dr Mood began her career in dentistry working at the Adelaide Dental Hospital. Following this, she moved to Darwin joining a large, busy private practice where she spent 18 months gaining valuable skills and experience servicing remote regions.
Although enjoying the different lifestyle offered by Darwin, Dr Mood sought a change of scenery and relocated to the South Coast region of New South Wales in 2011. She spent a two years working part time in a private practice in Batemans Bay and in the public system at Moruya Dental Hospital before finally joining the Maven Dental South Coast team in 2013.
In her role as a dentist, Dr Mood is passionate about providing quality care and treatment to her patients. She particularly enjoys working with patients to help them achieve a disease-free, comfortable and functional mouth - seeing their treatment through, from start to finish. Furthermore, Dr Mood loves being able to foster positive dental experiences in which she is able to assist patients in overcoming their dental anxiety, and leave them smiling and happy in visiting the practice.
While enjoying all aspects of dentistry, Dr Mood holds a particular interest in oral surgery. She also remains up to date with the latest advancements in the field of dentistry by regularly attending continued professional development courses.
Away from the practice, Dr Mood has a keen interest in an active, outdoor lifestyle and is often found camping, cray diving, surfing, scuba diving and fishing.
