Aidan McGuigan graduated from RMIT University in Melbourne in 1997. Since then he has gained much experience and knowledge working both as a longer term associate and short term locum rurally and city practices including Melbourne and Brisbane. He has also spent time working internationally. Aidan is an active member of the Chiropractors’ Association of Australia (CAA) and has been so for the last 19 years, and has previously acted as secretary and a media spokesperson for the organisation. He is an executive board member of the Australian College of Chiropractic Paediatrics (ACCP), and a member of the Australian Society for Performing Arts Healthcare (ASPAH). Committed to fulfilling professional development requirements and staying innovative within a dynamic industry, Aidan regularly attends conferences and researches evidence on chiropractic paediatrics, neurology, sports therapy, chiropractic techniques and management. In 2014, Aidan also completed his 2 year post graduate Diplomate in Chiropractic Paediatrics – one of a small group in Australia to do so. Aidan enjoys working alongside a variety of healthcare professionals to support patient care and treatments. He co-manages with Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, GP’s, Massage Therapists and Acupuncturists, Personal Trainers, Exercise Physiologists, Dentists, Mid-Wives and Medical Specialists. At Yeronga Chiropractic Aidan covers treatments that are partly or fully covered by private health funds, Work Cover, DVA and CDM (GP referral). Working with individuals from all walks of life, Aidan understands the importance of adapting his techniques to suit individual patient requirements. He utilises the manual techniques of Diversified, Gonstead and the Drop-piece table, and the lower force techniques of Sacro-Occipital Technique and Activator. Adopting a multimodal approach to treating patients, Aidan also incorporates muscle therapy and stretch, strengthening rehabilitative exercises as part of his management plan. Passionate about treating individuals of all age groups, Aidan frequently sees patients from infancy (and women who are going through pregnancy), through to the elderly and retired. Working in Yeronga since 2012, and now within his own clinic since 2014, Aidan is dedicated to helping patients to live a pain-free, active and happy lifestyle.
