I am a North West Sydney based Obstetrician, Gynaecologist and Laparoscopic Surgeon. Born in Malaysia and trained in Australia, I graduated from Melbourne University with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. I then completed my specialty training at various hospitals in Australia including Liverpool Hospital, Campbelltown Hospital, Bankstown Hospital and Tweed Heads Hospital.
I am an advanced laparoscopic surgeon, having completed two years of fellowship in Advanced Pelvic Surgery at Campbelltown Hospital, prior to becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG).
I am currently a staff specialist at Blacktown Hospital, with special interests in high risk obstetrics. I also understand the importance of mentoring the next generation, taking time to train students from Western Sydney University and junior doctors, mentoring trainees in O&G.
To stay on top of my specialty, which is a necessity to provide the best possible level of care to you, I spend time going through scientific literature and attending workshops and related conferences.
As a mother of two young boys, I am aware that every pregnancy is different and requires attentive customised care. As a female obstetrician and gynaecologist and working mother, I consult in a relaxed and friendly environment, where all women can feel free to discuss every aspect of their pregnancy and other health issues. I advocate open communication and provide you with the necessary information to make the best possible decision for you and your baby.
I only take a small number of patients every month to ensure you get personalised and best possible care.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two young boys. In my remaining spare time, I try to get some exercise, do a bit of cooking and some baking (which unfortunately I don't have the skill for!).
