Dr Aaron Sverdlov is a cardiologist with special interests in heart failure, interventional cardiology and metabolic heart disease. He has extensive research interests in heart failure, valvular heart disease and endothelial dysfunction.
Dr Aaron Sverdlov received his medical degree from the University of Adelaide, Australia in 2001, and completed his cardiology training at The Queen Elizabeth and Lyell McEwin Hospitals. Dr Sverdlov was awarded his PhD in 2012 by the University of Adelaide for his work on pathogenesis of early stages of aortic stenosis. He was then awarded the highly prestigious CJ Martin Postdoctoral Fellowship from the NHMRC and the Marjory Hooper Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He is currently undertaking further postdoctoral research and training at the Boston University School of Medicine and Whitaker Cardiovascular Institute in heart failure and metabolic heart disease. He is an author of 30 peer-reviewed publications and of 50 presentations at major national and international meetings, and serves as a reviewer for multiple international journals, the National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia and the Australian Research Council.
