Dinusha (Didi) is a psychologist and personal trainer who has a passion for providing an integrative and holistic approach to psychological services focussing on clients’ strengths, building resilience, fostering positive change, and assisting clients to achieve their personal wellness and health goals. Warm & genuine, Did has experience in providing a range of psychological therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based interventions. Didi has delivered evidence-based psychological treatment to individuals across the lifespan and from varying cultural backgrounds, and she has previously worked at a university providing counselling services to university students. Didi has a special interest in working with adults, adolescents, children and couples, as well as assisting people with a range of difficulties including but not limited to; depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, eating and body image related concerns, OCD, assisting with healthy lifestyle and behaviour changes to enhance wellbeing, managing stress and adjusting to life stressors, trauma, alcohol and drug dependence, and grief and loss. Didi has authored two research papers on the influence of the media on men and women’s body image and she has also been a guest speaker on a body image expert panel. Didi is registered with the Psychology Board of Australia and Medicare to provide psychological services. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA).
