Clara holds a BPsych(Hons) and a Masters in Clinical Psychology. Clara’s work within the private and public sectors has provided her with experience working with people with a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, substance abuse and trauma. She also has experience working with children with emotional and behavioural problems and their families. Clara has a particular interest in working with people with early attachment trauma as well as associated difficulties in emotion regulation and assisting people to develop positive and meaningful relationships in their lives. Clara’s approach is about respect, patience and compassion. She places emphasis on the relationship with the client, working collaboratively, and helping clients to draw on their natural resources to achieve their individual goals. Clara has a diverse approach to treatment, using a combination of cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, narrative therapy and motivational interviewing depending on the needs of the individual.
