Prof Gill Straker is a highly experienced clinical psychologist who initially trained as a child/adolescent psychotherapist and now specialises in adult work. She has a particular interest in family of origin issues and how these contribute to anxiety and depression and to current difficulties in personal and work relationships as well as to difficulties in regulating negative emotions. She teaches on psychotherapy and psychology programs at a number of tertiary institutions and consults to psychologists, psychiatrists and other mental health practitioners. Her practice is informed by research.
