Andrew is a clinical psychologist, holding a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology. He has developed experience working with forensic and clinical clients and has undertaken further training and supervision in the area of forensic assessment. Andrew conducts clinical and forensic assessments and report writing for a range of issues, including pre-sentence reports, Section 32 reports, matters relating to fitness, and cognitive functioning.

Previously, Andrew worked in the custody based Violent Offenders Therapeutic Program, Corrective Services NSW, providing assessment and treatment to high risk offenders; which included the completion of structured risk assessments for violent recidivism and treatment reports. He has worked with Juvenile Justice NSW, providing assessment and treatment to young offenders, facilitating the Cognitive Self-Change Program for high risk and violent young offenders, and providing background reports to the Children’s Court of NSW. With the CNWL NHS Foundation Trust, he provided assessment and treatment to young offenders with mental health disorders, developmental disorders, and intellectual disorders, and provided clinical consultation to a Youth Offending Team, Children’s Services, CAMHS, and Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangement (MAPPA) committees for high risk young offenders.

Andrew has clinical experience treating personality, mood, anxiety, and substance related disorders. He has facilitated Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy groups at a private psychiatric hospital. Through Employee Assistances he provided individual therapy, facilitated mental health workshops, and provided onsite critical incident support. He has also treated anxiety disorders in children and adolescents and completed psychometric assessments for children, adolescents and adults.
