I am a Clinical Neuropsychologist with over 20 years of experience and expertise in the public and private sectors in assessing the nature of cognitive changes that occur as the result of depression and anxiety, developmental, acquired or degenerative conditions. I have specialist skills in the area of adult and adolescent academic achievement, neurological conditions, traumatic brain injury, and rehabilitation as well as mental health condition. I have extensive experience with medicolegal assessments and report writing for court. I am a registered supervisor on the Psychology Board of Australia and a member of the College of Clinical Neuropsychologists. I am also a trained Intermediary providing communication assessments for vulnerable witnesses in court. What do Clinical Neuropsychologists do? We conduct neuropsychological assessments with people experiencing difficulties with memory, learning, attention, language, problem-solving or other aspects of thinking and behaviour. Areas of cognition assessed include intelligence, memory, language, attention, problem-solving, literacy, visual-motor skills, personality/emotional functioning and academic skills. Neuropsychological assessments review the impact of changes on lifestyle and relationships as well as regarding capacity to return to previous activities such as study/school, work, driving or financial management. The neuropsychological assessment takes from as few as 2 hours to as many as 4 hours of face to face contact, held over several different sessions. The assessment typically involves the administration of neuropsychological tests done with pen and paper. Most people find it interesting and fun. Following an assessment, we meet for feedback to provide education and strategies to manage any cognitive and behavioural effects of brain injuries or illnesses in order to maximise quality of life. Speciality Areas: Adult and Adolescents; Neurological Disorders; Learning Disabilities; Traumatic Brain Injury; Rehabilitation I am a registered provider with TAC, Worksafe, DVA and NDIA
