Welcome! My name is Rebecca Anderson. I am a Clinical Psychologist. The clients I work with often look successful on the outside. They are often curious and self-reflective. However, they find they are coming across blocks in life. These blocks might be being very hard on themselves, feeling a bit lost, overthinking, people pleasing, worrying about judgement from others and finding it hard to relax (unless they have been very productive and have ‘earned’ the rest). If this sounds like you, know that you are not alone.
I understand what a daunting process it can be to decide to proceed with therapy. One of the things I admire most in my clients is the courage they display in taking control of their lives and being open to a more hopeful future. I love to work with clients who are ready to take action to change their lives.
If you have hit a place where you feel stuck and overwhelmed, you do not need to suffer in silence. I am committed to working collaboratively with you to develop a mutual understanding of your difficulties and to develop an evidence-based treatment plan to help you achieve your goals and overcome your obstacles.
I have worked in a variety of settings including outpatient and inpatient units in hospitals, private practice, university clinics, and have experience working with children, adolescents and adults. I also lecture at university. This experience means I have a wide variety of experience with issues that you may be experiencing.
