Rachel Hinton is a clinical psychologist who is committed to exploring all aspects of the human condition and supports a wide variety of people with various presenting concerns. She has strong experience in providing treatment to individuals experiencing substance use disorders and trauma, and has completed further training in post-natal and perinatal mental health since having her own child.

Rachel makes a great effort to create a non-judgmental and supportive environment for her clients. She takes a caring and collaborative approach to therapy to help clients receive the support needed to make and maintain positive changes. Rachel practices within a variety of evidence-based therapeutic frameworks including cognitive behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and dialectical behaviour therapy.

Rachel completed her Bachelor of Social Sciences (Psychology) with Honours, and a Master of Clinical Psychology at Bond University and has experience working in private practice at both the Lives Lived Well Specialist Centre and headspace Southport. She has published research in the field of addiction and teaches clinical skills at Medical Students at Bond University.

Rachel is a Psychology Board approved Supervisor for provisional psychologists and clinical registrars.
