Paola has experience working with children, adolescents and adults around issues of depression, anxiety, stress and other emotional issues, grief and loss, trauma and relationships difficulties.
She has experience in a range of settings including disability services; homelessness services; schools; community health; migrants, international students, refugees and asylum seekers support services, and private practice.
Paola has worked with people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds, particularly from Latin America. Paola is a native Spanish speaker who welcomes the community to access psychological services in their mother language.
As a social worker, Paola has had the opportunity to work as a case worker, with people who have experienced homelessness or are at risk of homelessness. Paola has worked as a case manager with clients who have hoarding issues. This experience has allowed her to learn about people’s day to day lives and what happens beyond a consulting room, giving her skills to provide holistic interventions to clients.
