After completing her undergraduate medical degree in South Africa in 1998, Nicci moved to Sydney where she undertook higher specialist training in paediatrics at Sydney Children's Hospital. Following this, she moved to London and completed her basic surgical training and obtained her Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (UK) in 2006. Nicci then changed to General Practice, obtaining her Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2009. In London, she ran a joint GP/Paediatrician outpatient clinic with consultant Paediatricians from St Mary’s Hospital (London). Dr James returned to Sydney in 2015 and has become a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Her special interests include minor surgery, orthopaedics/joint injections, women’s health and of course as a mother of three young children herself, paediatrics. She is also accredited to do shared care obstetrics.
