Stephanie is a full time physiotherapist here at Sydney West Sports Medicine. She graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Health Science and continued her studies with a Masters in Physiotherapy. From there, a strong focus has been directed towards continued professional development, with the successful completion of several Advanced Dry Needling courses, Sports Level 1 and 2 and Lyn Watson’s Shoulder course.
She has extensive experience in private practice, assisting patients with injury, prevention and rehabilitation programs. She is familiar with the Workcover system and strongly aims to restore the function of injured workers through manual therapy and exercised based rehabilitation.
At present, she works closely with Gymnastics Australia and has travelled interstate at the National level providing coverage for the Men’s and Women’s Artistic, Rhythmic, Acrobatic and Trampoline gymnasts. Furthermore, she is involved in the elite program and works in close association with the Women’s Artistic Gymnasts, providing treatment for both acute and chronic conditions, whilst managing their training load.
Stephanie has a strong passion for fitness and is actively involved in dance, pole fitness, aerial and circus arts. Apparatuses of particular interest include static trapeze, silks and lyra. In addition, she strives to improve her skills and knowledge to deliver optimal patient outcomes, particularly for these art forms. She has competed at the National level with dance and has attained advanced ballet certifications with the Royal Academy of Dance, that led her to pursue a career within the sport and fitness industry.
