Stefanie Valakas is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Nutritionist with a Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics and a Bachelor of Science (Advanced) in Nutrition & Metabolism from the University of Sydney. Stefanie enjoys working with people to enhance their lifestyle and aid in management of medical conditions through simple and practical nutrition advice. Stefanie has experience working with a wide variety of patient groups such as: weight management, sports nutrition, diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol and high blood pressure, children's nutrition (including fussy eating), food allergies and intolerances and general healthy eating advice. Additionally, Stefanie can provide dietary advice to manage poor weight gain or to help reach body composition goals (increasing muscle mass, reducing body fat). Stefanie is also an advocate for accurate nutrition communication in the media and has written for Medibank Be. Magazine and has been highlighted by Dietitian Connection as a ‘Rising Star’ in Dietetics in their June 2018 issue of Infuse. Stefanie is committed to evidence-based practice based on the latest scientific information and regularly attends conferences, training and undertakes her own reading to keep abreast of the ever-evolving world of nutrition
