Ms Pei-Tsze Niu (Psychologist)

She has had clinical experience in a diverse range of settings including geriatric and traumatic brain injury populations, inpatient rehabilitation and neurological conditions. In particular, she has experience in the differential diagnosis of neurodegenerative disorders and assessments of decision making capacity. She completed her Honours in Psychology at Monash University conducting a research project with the Experimental Neuropsychology Research Unit, where she examined the effects of vicarious pain on motor imagery processes. She completed her Master of Clinical Neuropsychology at Macquarie University, Sydney, investigating the longitudinal effects of amyloid-beta burden on structural brain volumes and cognition. She also holds affiliations with the ARC Centre of Excellence in Cognition and its Disorders and School of Psychology at The University of Sydney. Amanda has strong interests in the field of ageing and dementia and is currently affiliated with the Florey Institute of Neurosciences, where she also conducts neuropsychological assessments for the Australian Imaging, Biomarkers and Lifestyle Study of Ageing. She is very enthusiastic about working with youth, supporting their development, education and connection with society.
